The exhibition Da Raffaello a Schiele (From Raphael to Schiele) at Palazzo Reale brings to Milan works from the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest. Included are 76 paintings from the Renaissance to the early 20th century, all masterpieces of European art.
The Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest, which is undergoing a large-scale renovation and will reopen in the spring 2018, belongs to the most prestigious museums in the world. The collection covers all periods of European art, and includes more than 100,000 works.
Among the artists represented are Raffaello, Tintoretto, Albrecht Dürer, Diego Velasquez, Lucas Cranach the Elder, Peter Paul Rubens, Francisco Goya, Bartolomé Esteban Murillo, Canaletto, Édouard Manet, Paul Gauguin and Paul Cézanne.
